Netherland head coach Ronald Koeman, believes that his defensive stars Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool Fc and Matthijs De Ligt Ajax Amsterdam are equipped enough to prevent Cristiano Ronaldo from inflicting damage to his side when his side take on Portugal in Sunday's Nation League Final.
Portugal won Switzerland 3-1 on Wednesday to book a place in the final, thanks to a stunning performance from Ronaldo who bagged his 53rd hat-trick of his professional career.
While the 'Orange boys' eliminated England (3-1) from the competition after extra time.
Talking to a pre-match news conference, Koeman recalled a recent friendly game both teams played and insist on De Ligt stopping Cristiano.
He said:
"We played a friendly in Switzerland, not a long time ago, and De Ligt was stopping Ronaldo as well, it's not only Van Dijk who can stop Ronaldo."But Ronaldo is good enough to create against really good defenders. That's the nicest part of football, you can't do anything because his quality is on such a high level."
The Orange Boys are currently in their best form and will looking to shock the Portuguese in this tie.
