Vanessa Bryant Announces Kobe And Gigi's Public Memorial Date And It's Significant (See)

Late Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant's public memorial service titled ‘A Celebration of Life’, has been set to take place at 10 a.m. on Feb. 24, Vanessa Bryant confirmed Friday.

The wife and mother of the deceased, Vanessa Bryant announced the symbolic date via her Instagram handle sharing a photo of the memorial Invitation.

She wrote: 

"#2, #24 #20 years as a Laker."

Vanessa explained the significance of the date chosen. The 2 and 24 represent the two jersey numbers of the father and daughter basketball players: Kobe wore No. 24 during the latter part of his legendary career with the Lakers, while Gianna wore No. 2 on her youth basketball teams.

The 20 represents how many years Kobe was with the Lakers, she wrote in the post.
