The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a massive increase in the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria. The highest since the index case hits the country.
NCDC made this announcement on Tuesday night via its verified Twitter page, where it stated that one hundred and ninety-five (195) new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Nigeria.
The center said that as at 11:50pm 28th April, Nigeria now has a total of 1532 (One thousand, five hundred and thirty-two) number of confirmed cases, 255 (Two hundred and fifty-five) patients have been discharged and 44 (forty-four) death cases.
Lagos State recorded 80 cases, Kano 38, Ogun 15, Bauchi 15, Borno 11, Gombe 10, Sokoto 9, Edo 5, Jigawa 5, Zamfara 2, Rivers 1, Enugu 1, Delta 1, Abuja 1, and Nasarawa state 1.
Nasarawa State has now recorded its first COVID-19 case.
