Nigeria recorded a whopping 387 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday 29th May 2020, according to the NCDC.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in a tweet via its verified Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it also disclosed that Lagos State recorded more than half of the new cases recorded.
According to the NCDC, out of the 387 new cases recorded, Lagos State recorded 254, 29 in FCT Abuja, 24 in Jigawa, 22 in Edo, 15 in Oyo, 14 in Rivers, 11 in Kaduna, 6 in Borno, 3 in Kano, 2 cases were recorded in each of Plateau, Yobe, Gombe, and Bauchi, and 1 case in Ondo state.
Meanwhile, Mackenzieskyblog reports that the development means that Nigeria has now recorded a total number of 9,302 (Nine thousand, three hundred and two) confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 2,697 (Two thousand, six hundred and ninety-seven) infected persons have been treated and discharged, and 261 death cases recorded so far.
