The Senator representing Anambra South and the national leader of Young Progressive Party(YPP), Sen. (Dr.) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was seen live along side Kanu Nwankwo and Daniel Omokachi at the 20,000 capacity Alexandria Stadium in Egypt where the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Burundi national team.
Sen. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is in Egypt for the 2019 Total African Cup of Nation in his capacity as Afcon Organizing Committee Member.
Sen. Ubah who is also the biggest football investor in Nigeria was in Russia in 2018 as one of the FIFA's guest for the 2018 World Cup Fiesta with other world football stakeholders and investors.
He had assured Nigerians during the 2019 Anambra South Senatorial campaign that if elected, he will sponsor quality bills that will efficiently and effectively harness potentials and opportunities that abound in the nation's sports industry, especially in the Football sub-sector, in order to provide Nigeria economy the platform to reap the bountiful benefits.
Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Burundi 1-0 in the encounter and will on 26th June, 2019 play their second Group B match with Guinea.
A win in this match will see that the Super Eagles qualify for the quarter final stage of this year's African Cup Of Nation's going on in Egypt.
