The Federal High Court has come out to officially direct the DSS Boss to comply with its directive of releasing Sowore or face going to jail.
The Federal High Court, Abuja, has threatened to jail the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, over his refusal to release Omoyele Sowore as the court had grant him bail.
In a statement titled “A notice of disobedience to order of court” issued by the court on Thursday and addressed to the DSS DG, the Federal High Court directed the DSS boss to comply with its directive or will be guilty of contempt of the court and liable to be committed to prison.
Sowore has remained in detention more than 24 hours after meeting his bail condition as set by Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday in a ruling.
MackenzieskyBlog understands that Sowore’s human right lawyer, Femi Falana, has refused to leave the premises of the DSS unless they release his client to him.
