Nigerian Afropop female singer, Tiwa Savage has pulled the plug on her scheduled performance in South Africa, in response to xenophobia attacks on foreigners in the country.
Tiwa, who has teamed up with South Africans on a few undertakings said she couldn't watch the brutal butchering of her people in the country and so it's best she cancels the show.
MackenzieSkyBlog understands that because of the present xenophobic assaults and deplorable occurrences, she canceled her appearance in the show labeled “DSTV Delicious Festival” in Johannesburg.
The Afropop star made this known to her fans via her official Twitter handle, where she stated that can't perform in a country where her country men and women are being butchered.
She also gave her words of condolence to the families and victims who have been affected by the illegal act going on in South-Africa.
"I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September."My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this," she tweeted.
