The disease control centre made the announcement a tweet via it verified Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it disclosed that 313 new cases of the ravaging virus were recorded across the country, bringing the total infectious cases in the country to 7,839 (Seven thousand, eight hundred and thirty-nine).
According to the NCDC, out of the 313 new cases recorded, Lagos State recorded 148 new cases alone, bringing the total infections in the state to 3,505.
Other states which recorded new cases include; FCT Abuja (36), Rivers (27), Edo (19), Kano (13), Ogun (12), Ebonyi (11), Nasarawa (8), Delta (8), Oyo (7), Plateau (6), Kaduna (5), Kwara (4), Akwa-Ibom and Bayelsa recorded (3) each, Niger (2), and Anambra (1).
MackenzieSkyBlog understands that Nigeria has now recorded a total number of 7,839 COVID-19 cases, 2,263 infected persons have been treated and discharged, with 226 death cases recorded so far.
