Breaking - NCDC Confirms New 229 COVID-19 Cases, 26 In Imo, Total Now 8068

Nigeria records 229 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday May 20th 2020, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).  The disease management centre made this announcement in a tweet via it verified Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it noted that this new figure recorded has now summed up the total confirmed cases in the country to 8068.  The centre also released a breakdown of the new confirmed cases recorded per states thus; Lagos-90, Katsina-27, Imo-26, Kano-23, FCT-14, Plateau-12, Ogun-9, Delta-7, Borno-5, Rivers-5, Oyo-4, Gombe-3, Osun-2, Anambra-1, and Bayelsa-1  Imo State which did not record a single case a day before and only has a total of 7 (Seven) COVID-19 cases, recorded massively this time with 26 new confirmed cases reported, bringing the tally in the state to 33.

Following the present report by the NCDC, Nigeria now has a total number of 8068 confirmed cases of the ravaging virus, with 2,311 infected persons treated and discharged, and a total of 233 death cases recorded so far.
