Nigeria has recorded 284 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total infection cases in the country to 6677, as the number of death cashes jump to 200, NCDC can report.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this update in a tweet via it verified Twitter page @NCDCgov at the late hours of Wednesday 20th May 2020, where it also released the total breakdown of the new confirmed cases per states.
According to the center, Lagos State alone recorded a whopping 199 new confirmed cases, bringing the total infection cases in the state to 2954.
Other states that recorded new cases include, Rivers - 26, Oyo - 9, FCT Abuja and Borno - 8 each, Plateau - 7, Jigawa - 6, Kano - 5, Abia - 2, Ekiti - 1, Delta - 1, Kwara - 1, and Taraba - 1.
As at the time of compiling this report, Nigeria now has a record total number of 6677 ( Six thousand, six hundred and seventy-seven) confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 1840 infected persons treated and discharged, and total death cases of 200 recorded so far across the nation.
