COVID-19 Alert: Nigeria Records 226 New Cases, 131 In Lagos Alone, Total Now 6401

The centre announced the new development in a tweet via it official Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it stated that 226 new confirmed cases of the ravaging Coronavirus  (COVID-19) was recorded across the country, bringing the total infections in the country to 6401 (Six thousand, four hundred and one).  From the report released by the centre, Lagos State recorded a whopping 131 new cases of the disease bringing the tally in the state to 2755.  Other states which recorded new cases are Ogun State (25), Plateau (15), Edo (11), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), FCT Abuja (5), Adamawa (5), Jigawa (4), Ebonyi (4), Borno (4), Nasarawa (3), Bauchi (2), Gombe (2), Enugu (1), and Bayelsa state (1).  According to the NCDC, Nigeria now has a total of 6401 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 1734 infected persons treated and discharged, and 192 death cases recorded in the country so far.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released a fresh update of the new confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria on 19th May 2020.
