The health management centre made this known in a tweet via its official Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it stated that the country recorded 745 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within 24 hours.
Out of the amount recorded, Lagos State alone recorded 280 new cases of the ravaging virus, bringing the total confirmed cases in the state to 7,896.
The NCDC tweeted:
"745 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-280, Oyo-103, Ebonyi-72, FCT-60, Imo-46, Edo-34, Delta-33, Rivers-25, Kaduna-23, Ondo-16, Katsina-12, Kano-10, Bauchi-8, Borno-7, Kwara-5, Gombe-4, Sokoto-2, Enugu-2, Yobe-1, Osun-1, and Nasarawa-1."
According to the NCDC, Nigeria discharged 340 infected patients from her isolation centres after their test results came out negative. While 6 new death cases were recorded.
Mackenzieskyblog understands that Nigeria has now recorded 18,480 total confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), 6307 people have been discharged, and a total of 475 death cases have been recorded so far.
