Following the gradual easing of lockdown announced by the federal government through the Presidential Task Force (PTF), where banks and religious homes were asked to reopen, Curfew lifted to 10pm, and schools remain closed. Nigeria recorded an additional 416 new cases of the ravaging virus (COVID19).
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced this development in a tweet via its official Twitter page, where it also gave the breakdown of the new cases per state.
NCDC tweeted:
"416 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-192, Edo-41, Rivers-33, Kaduna-30, Kwara-23, Nasarawa-18, Borno-17, FCT-14, Oyo-10, Katsina-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Adamawa-4, Kano-4, Imo-3, Ondo-3, Benue-2, Bauchi-2, Ogun-2, and Niger-1."
The center also announced that the total COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has now risen to 10,578, with 3,122 infected patients treated and discharged, and a total of 299 death cases recorded so far.
From the tweet, Mackenzieskyblog learned that within the space of 24 hours, Nigeria Recorded 12 deaths, and 115 patients discharged.
