The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday night announced that Nigeria recorded 573 new cases of the ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total in the country to 16658.
The health management centre revealed this in a tweet via it verified Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it also released the to a total breakdown of the new cases by states.
The NCDC tweeted:
"573 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-216, Rivers-103, Oyo-68, Edo-40, Kano-21, Gombe-20, FCT-17, Delta-13, Plateau-12, Bauchi-12, Niger-10, Kebbi-9, Ogun-8, Ondo-8, Abia-7, Nasarawa-5, Borno-1, Kwara-1, Benue-1, and Anambra-1."
According to the NCDC, 129 infected patients tested negative for the virus and where discharged from the isolation centres, while 4 new death cases were recorded in the country within 24 hours.
