According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Nigeria recorded 627 new cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Friday 12th June 2020. A day which happens to be the nations Democracy Day.
The health management centre made this known in a tweet released via its official Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it also releases the total breakdown of the new cases by states.
The tweet reads:
"627 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-229, FCT-65, Abia-54, Borno-42, Oyo-35, Rivers-28, Edo-28, Gombe-27, Ogun-21, Plateau-18, Delta-18, Bauchi-10, Kaduna-10, Benue-9, Ondo-8, Kwara-6, Nasarawa-4, Enugu-4, Sokoto-3, Niger-3, Kebbi-3, Yobe-1, and Kano-1."
The NCDC also reports that within the space of 24 hours, 397 infected patients tested negative for the virus and were discharged from the isolation centres. While 12 new deaths cases were recorded across the nation.
This burgeoning online news platform understands that Nigeria now has a total coronavirus (Covid-19) cases of 15181, 4891 infected patients have been treated and discharged, and a total of 399 deaths cases recorded in the country so far.
