Breaking News - Nigeria Records 604 New Cases Of COVID-19, 20 New Deaths (See Breakdown)

COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released a fresh update on the daily COVID-19 cases recorded in Nigeria by states on Thursday 23rd July 2020.
 
The health management centre on disease control made the announcement in a tweet via it official Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it stated that Nigeria recorded 604 new cases of the ravaging coronavirus and also gave a breakdown of the recorded cases by states.

According to the NCDC, Lagos State recorded 203 new cases, Oyo-87, FCT-79, Edo-41, Osun-35, Ogun-24, Rivers-22, Kaduna-22, Akwa Ibom-20, Plateau-18, Delta-9, Ebonyi-9, Imo-8, Enugu-5, Kano-5, Cross River-5, Katsina-4, Nasarawa-3, Borno-2, Ekiti-2, and Bauchi-1 case.

The centre also went further to give a detailed explanation of the previous report it announced on the number of death cases recorded in Lagos State 

"The 15 deaths reported for Lagos State on 23rd July include previously unreported deaths," NCDC explains 

From the report, this burgeoning news platform understands that Nigeria has now recorded a total number of 38,948 (Thirty-eight thousand, nine hundred and forty-eight) Coronavirus cases, 16,061 (Sixteen thousand, and sixty-one) infected persons have been treated and discharged, while a total number of 833 (Eight hundred and thirty-three) death cases have been recorded in the country so far.
