The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has released a fresh update on the new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) recorded in Nigeria on Thursday 2nd July 2020.
The health management centre made this known in a tweet via it verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov, where it announced that Nigeria recorded 616 (six hundred and sixteen) new cases of the novel Coronavirus within the space of 24 hours.
According to the centre, a total of 649 infected patients at the isolation centres tested negative for the virus and were discharged, and a total of 13 new death cases were recorded in the country within same 24 hours.
The NCDC tweeted;
"626 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-193, FCT-85, Oyo-41, Edo-38, Kwara-34, Abia-31, Ogun-29, Ondo-28, Rivers-26, Osun-21, Akwa Ibom-18, Delta-18, Enugu-15, Kaduna-13, Plateau-11, Borno-8, Bauchi-7, Adamawa-5, Gombe-4, and Sokoto-1."
Mackenzieskyblog understands that Nigeria has now recorded a total of 27,110 (twenty-seven thousand, one hundred and ten) Coronavirus cases since the index case hits the country. 10,801 (ten thousand, eight hundred and one) infected persons have been discharged, and a total of 616 death cases recorded so far.
