Obi Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, is a Nigerian businessman, entertainer, philanthropist, and socialite. He is the chairman and owner of the well-known Cubana groups.
On April 12th, 1975, Obi Cubana was born. He is 46-year-old. Cubana is from Aboji Village in Oba, a locality in Nigeria's Anambra State's Demili-South Local Government Area.
His father was Chief Akaeze Oba of Aboji Village, Sir Alex Nnaemeka Iyiegbu, and his mother, Ezinne Uche Iyiegbu, died in December 2020, after celebrating her 78th birthday in July. Obi Cubana was one of her five children, and she is survived by three daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, and 21 grandkids.
Obi Cubana has four siblings; two elder brothers Chu and Ike Iyiegbu. An elder sister Adaeze Moore, and a younger sister called Binky.
Cubana attended Central Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He then went to Onitsha's Dennis Memorial Grammar School, where he earned his West African Senior School Certificate (WAEC).
He is married to Mrs. Ebele Iyiegbu, a lawyer, and they have four sons: Alex, Ifeanyi, Ebube, and Kosisochukwu.
Obi Cubana graduated from the University of Nigeria with a degree in Political Science in 1998. Obi Cubana opened his first club, Ibiza Club, in Abuja in 2006, with the goal of satisfying fun seekers and nightlife lovers.
In 2009, he founded the Cubana group, a hospitality club that delivers all-around entertainment enjoyment, as a result of his spectacular success from the Ibiza Club. The Cubana group was founded in Owerri, Nigeria's capital of Imo state. Cubana is now popular in several Nigerian states, including Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
A few of his establishments include; Rolex Hotels – Lagos, Cubana Leisure Outfits, Pablo Cubana – Lagos, Crave Cubana – Abuja, Grand Cubana Hotels – Abuja, Opium Cubana – Owerri, Cubana Night Clubs – Lagos.
Obi Cubana is extraordinarily wealthy, with an estimated net worth of $500 million.
The majority of Obi Iyiegbu's assets, including his various cars and businesses, are worth millions of dollars.
Ebele Iyiegbu, his wife, is the founder and owner of the KIEK foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of society's less privileged children via quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and child rights governance.
