“This Time Last Year I Was Begging For Money To Buy A Benz, Now I Have Two” – Rapper, Blaqbonez Counts His Blessings

Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, has taken to social media to count his blessings ahead of his birthday.

The singer who is turning a new age on Saturday, January 29, took to popular microblogging platform, Twitter, to disclose that a year ago he was crowdfunding to buy himself a Mercedes Benz, but now he owns two Benz.

Sharing photos of himself posing with one of his cars, the ‘s£x over love’ crooner expressed gratitude for how he has come in his career.

He wrote; "Its 2 days to my birthday, and this time last year I was crowd funding for a Benz. I’ve bought 2 since then”

A while ago, Blaqbonez took to social media to reminisce on his days of humble beginnings in the music industry.

Taking to popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Blaqbonez who stated that he took the longest road to success in this music thing, recounted how he had to produce his songs himself as he had no money to pay for the services of people.

He also recalled an instance where he fell to the ground on the main road and cried after a sound engineer called to tell him that his system crashed and he lost all his songs.

Speaking further, he revealed that when he made his first 200k, he wanted to use it to buy studio equipment but his mother made him give it to a pastor as first fruit.
