Simi, a popular Nigerian singer has becomes the first female to get 100 million plays on Audiomack Africa.



Excitedly she shared cute photos thanking God and Audiomack Africa on her IG page.

Appreciating her fans and audiomack, Simi wrote;

About Simi

Simi is one of the most critically acclaimed pop stars in Nigeria, nominated for more than 25 awards and best known for her Headies-winning Album of the Year, Simisola.

Before pursuing a career in pop music, Simi released a gospel album, Ogaju, in 2008.

She scored a record deal on the strength of her indie EP, Restless, and released her breakout hit single, “Tiff,” in 2014.

During the 2015 awards season, she won Most Promising Act to Watch at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Most Promising Act of The Year at the City People Entertainment Awards.

After appearing on each other’s hit singles (her “Jamb Question” and his “Soldier”), Simi and award-winning Nigerian rapper Falz recorded a collaborative EP, 2016’s Chemistry.

Her sophomore LP, Simisola, hit No. 5 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and won Album of the Year at Nigeria’s Headies awards show in 2018.

She was honored with the Prize for Music at the 2018 Future Awards Africa, an accolade celebrating Nigerians aged 18 to 31 who have made outstanding achievements in their fields.

Simi got married to afrobeats singer, Adekunle Gold in 2019 and they both have a baby girl together.
