The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has urged Muslims around the world to pray for Nigeria as they prepare for the fasting that shapes the holy month.
Prince made this appealing in a recent tweet he shared via his official Twitter page.
While urging the Muslims to pray for Nigeria, the presidential hopeful also urged Nigerians to be committed to building a just and fair society for all.
"In this holy month of Ramadan, let us note that self denial by way of fasting is a metaphor of spiritual sacrifice, a down payment on our faith in expectations of divine mercy and blessings of Allah SWT.
"May we be so committed to building a just, fair society. Pray for Nigeria," he tweeted
Ramadan in Nigeria started in the evening of Friday, 1st April to end on Sunday 1st May, 2022.
The start date is determined by a sighting of the first faint crescent of the new moon and this year officials have forecast Ramadan to begin either on Saturday, April 2, or Sunday, April 3.
It lasts between 29 and 30 days, until the sighting of the next crescent moon marks the end of the holy month and the arrival of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic Hijri calendar.
