Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential aspirant under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has obtained the party’s 35million 2023 presidential election nomination form.
Adebayo who will be heading to the primary election with a few other aspirants made the acquisition of his form known on Friday via his official Twitter handle.
"Today I took the leap of faith to invest in our future by obtaining the expression of Interest and presidential nomination forms of the only credible alternative @SDP_ng History shall record this as the moment the fortunes of Nigeria and Nigerians turned around. #HopeAgain 2023," he wrote
He added that if elected president of Nigeria, his administration will ensure farewell to poverty and insecurity in the country.
"We have whatever it takes to ensure farewell to Poverty and Insecurity once and for all. We must enthrone justice in every sphere of our national affairs. We must implement Chapter 2 of the Nigerian Constitution to make Government serve the people in the interest of the people," he added
The international lawyer and business magnet obtained the forms at the SDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to the payment receipt made available to the press, he paid N32 million for the nomination form and a fee of N3 million for the expression of interest.
The Ondo State-born politician has in the past months toured the country meeting traditional rulers, party stakeholders, youth and women leaders, leaving the impression that he could emerge as the flag bearer of the SPD to enable the party to compete favorably as a 3rd force.
