The convener of the 'Revolution Now' campaign group, Omoyele Sowore has been arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS).
According to Sahara Reporters, the activist was arraigned in the early hours of Saturday as he was making move to gather Nigerians to accompany him to protest against the government.
Sowore had reportedly posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25am that the DSS has invaded his house.
He tweeted:
"DSS invades Sowore’s."
An eyewitness confirmed that his phone had been forcefully taken away from him.
Nigerians blast it President Muhammadu Buhari and Condemn his approach towards Sowore's Arrest. They lamented that this arrest is a way to stop Sowore’s 'Revolution Now' campaign which has gained national and international attention in the last couple of days.
The arrest may not be unconnected with the planned staging of 'Revolution Now' campaign which is scheduled for Monday August 5th across the country.
