Nollywood veteran Actor, Kayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kasuma, has finally passed on after 11 years of fighting with stroke and blindness which later led to Heart and Liver ailment.
Francis Olukayode Olugbenga Odumosu was born on the 16th of March 1953 in the Agbeni area of Ibadan, Oyo State, though he is from Ogun State by origin.
His father is from Odogbolu (Ijebu) while his mother is from Ake (Abeokuta/Egba) that is why he refers to himself as “Ijegba” (The combination of Ijebu and Egba).
MackenzieSkyBlog gathered that the 67-year-old veteran who always derives pleasure in making viewers laugh has been battling with the sickness since 2009, after battling the cardiovascular disease, otherwise known as stroke which also led to his loss of memory.
Last year, he came out seeking spiritual assistance from Nigerians saying that he is now certain that this sickness is not ordinary, that it is of spiritual nature, and that all he needs is not financial aid but fervent prayer.
Pa Kasumu said;
“For now, I don’t need any help. All I need is prayer. All I can say about my sickness is that it is spiritual. That’s why I said it requires prayer. I’m currently at a church camp for its annual congress. God should take care of me. I will stay at the camp till the congress ends.”
Nollywood has now lost another of its veteran actor to the cold hands of death after it announced the death of Mrs. Patience Oseni who died of a stroke and Mr. Frank Dallas who died of a heart attack in a hotel room in Abia state.
