Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned that states yet to have coronavirus pandemic cases should brace for it and get prepared because it will definitely circulate all over the country.
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 additionally on Thursday said community transmission of the infection is currently common, caused principally by individuals making the state to state travels.
National facilitator of PTF, Dr. Sani Aliyu, stated:
"We have noticed that community spread is now being traced to individuals sneaking out of state borders."We have to attempt to limit our movement so as to stop the spread of this Coronavirus contamination, this is especially relevant concerning the updates on individuals being smuggled in trucks out of Lagos."
The virus has spread to 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja) – 17 states are so far liberated from the infection since the filed case in the nation i.e. the Italian who came in from Milan on February 27.
As at the time of compiling this report, the 14 states with no reported COVID-19 case include Bayelsa, Cross River, Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Jigawa, and Zamfara. The others are Kebbi, Sokoto, Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, Borno, Gombe, Kogi, Nasarawa, and Plateau.
The NCDC Director-General Chikwe Ihekweazu stated:

Ihekweazu, who talked on a morning belt TV program on Thursday, pointed out that the primary response to the COVID-19 pandemic was essentially the function of states and local government areas.
