Breaking - Nigeria Receives Credit Alert Of $311.7m Abacha Loot From USA

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday confirmed the receipt of the sum of $311.7 million from the United State of America and the Bailiwick of Jersey as part of the money looted by former Nigerian leader, Gen. Sani Abacha. 

This information was disclosed by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, via a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Dr. Umar Gwandu.


Malami referred to the money received from the United State Government as ‘Abacha Loot 3’, which will definitely be a boost in the economy of the nation following the coronavirus pandemic crisis which as disrupted a lot of economic activities in the country, where states like Lagos, FCT, and Ogun are presently on partial lockdown in other to contain the spread of the virus.

As at the time of compiling this report, Nigeria has a total of 2558 number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, 400 patients discharged, and 87 death cases recorded.
