The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has come up with the latest Nigeria COVID-19 update, as Abia State became the first state to top Lagos State in the breakdown charts.
The health management centre released this report in a tweet via its verified Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it stated that Nigeria recorded 260 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the centre, Abia State topped the breakdown list this time with 67 new cases confirmed, FCT Abuja recorded 40, Lagos recorded 38, Ogun-19, Gombe-16, Edo-14, Imo-9, Kwara-8, Katsina-8, Nasarawa-8, Borno-8, Kaduna-6, Bauchi-5, Ekiti-4, Niger-2, Ondo-2, Plateau-2, Kano-2, and Sokoto-2.
From the report, Mackenzieskyblog understands that Nigeria discharged 133 COVID-19 patients, and 12 new death cases were recorded in the space of 24 hours.
Abia State topped the chart this time with 67 new confirmed cases, displacing Lagos State at the top to become the first state to do so since the index case hits the country.
As at the time of compiling this present report, Nigeria now has a total record of 12,486 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 3959 patients were discharged from Isolation centres after testing negative, with 354 death cases recorded so far.
