It's a black Friday on the street of Abuja, as Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, joined other women and NGO's to protest against the current happenings in the country.
It would be recalled that the rate of rape and murder in Nigeria has escalated in recent months, where reported cases of young girls who have been brutally raped and murdered in cold blood have been the news of the day.
Mackenzieskyblog recalled the two recent cases that prompted people to express their anger using the hashtags #JusticeForJennifer and #JusticeForUwa.
Vera Uwaila Omosuwa, a 22-year-old student who just got admission into the University died two days after she was reportedly raped in Redeem Christian Church in Benin, a city in southern Nigeria.
While 18-year-old Jennifer was allegedly attacked and raped by a gang of five men in Kaduna, a city in northern Nigeria.
Taking to her official Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh shared photos and videos from her protest earlier today, where she was seen raising a placard with the write-up "Domesticate the child's right act immediately! protect our children".
