The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday morning announced that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 46 following the recent two cases confirmed in both Lagos and Osun State.
In a statement released via it official twitter page, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that two new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the country, one in Lagos and one in Osun.
Two persons who earlier confirmed positive for COVID-19, has now confirmed negative and have been discharged with one confirmed death case in the country.
The NCDC tweets:
"Two new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 1 in Lagos and 1 in Osun. Both cases are returning travelers to Nigeria in the last 7 days."As at 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death."
The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo who was tested on Tuesday evening for the virus has been confirmed negative.
