The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released the total breakdown on the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus per state in the country as cases rise to 51.
In a statement released via its twitter official handle, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that the total number of confirmed cases has risen from the 46 that was earlier announced to 51 confirmed cases.
The health practitioners also gave a breakdown on how the virus has spread across states in the country, with Lagos State having the highest cases with 32 numbers of confirmed cases followed by Abuja with 10 confirmed cases.
According to the NCDC, Lagos State recorded 32 new cases, FCT Abuja - 10, Ogun- 3, Ekiti- 1, Oyo- 1, Edo- 1, Bauchi-1, Osun-1, and Rivers-1.
The statement read:
"Five new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 2 in Lagos & 1 in Rivers."3 are returning travellers into Nigeria & 2 are close contacts of a confirmed case."As at 11:25 pm 25th March, there are 51 confirmed cases, 2 discharged, 1 death."For a breakdown of cases by states in real time, Lagos 32, FCT 10, Ogun 3, Ekiti- 1, Oyo 1, Edo 1, Bauchi 1, Osun 1, Rivers-1, Total: 51 confirmed cases."
