The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported an additional 87 new cases of COVID-19 in the country as the total number of confirmed cases jump to 1182.
The Public Health Administration made this announcement via its Twitter page, where it gave the total breakdown of how the 87 new cases were summed up.
According to the tweet, 33 confirmed cases were recorded in Lagos State, 18 in Borno, 12 new Cases in Osun State, 9 in Katsina, 4 new Cases in Kano, and Ekiti State respectively, 3 in both Edo and Bauchi State, and 1 confirmed case in Imo State.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, recorded zero number of confirmed cases this time as the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is now 1182, with 222 discharged patients, and 35 death cases reported.
Nigerians will be expecting to hear from their President, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday on the way forward, whether to ease the lockdown and reopen economic activities in the country or to extend the lockdown.
