Building Crumbles in Kano |
Kano State Fire Service has affirmed that four individuals from a family passed on when a structure crumbled at Saberi, Gwale Local Government Area of the state.
The representative of the fire administration Saidu Mohammed affirmed the incident on Tuesday, including that three different people in the structure, were saved alive from the scattered pieces of blocks.
Mohammed said the incident happened on Monday, April 13, when the tenants of the house were dozing.
"Seven people were caught in the crumbled building, four of them kicked the bucket later at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano while the remaining three casualties were accepting treatment at the medical clinic."Among those protected was a one-year-old kid."We got a misery call from one, Sadi Gora, who lives in the area, at about 11:45 p.m. that a structure collapsed in the zone."On getting the information, we immediately conveyed our salvage group to the scene at about 11:55 p.m," he said.
When newsmen approached the tragic event, Mohammed said that the reason for the collapse is still under scrutiny.
